Feed:

Feed is one of the most highly discussed topics for goats. When researching goats, this was the most intimidating part about getting goats for us.

Our girls receive:

  • Free choice 50/50 mix of orchard hay and alfalfa.

  • Free choice minerals.

  • Girls in milk also receive grain as a 50/50 mix of Show Goat Klassie Milk (sweet feed) and Purina Goat Chow (unsweetened feed). DO NOT feed grain to male goats, discussed more in detail later.

  • Sparingly fruits, vegetables, animal crackers, and fig newtons as treats.
